(EN) Fostering Artificial Intelligence at Schools (FAIaS) intends to hone the skills, both hard cognitive and soft skills, required to understand, build or interact with Artificial Intelligence. We thus consider AI, not in the narrow, purely technological sense, but in the broad sense, as it impacts many different parts of our lives. We, therefore, choose decisively for an interdisciplinary and inclusive approach that focuses not only on STEM activities but involves all school subjects and covers a broad range of aspects, including the ethical, philosophical, economic, legal, and historical. FAIaS’ ultimate goal is to improve the knowledge of artificial intelligence on children and youngsters.
(NL) Dwengo ontwikkelt didactisch materiaal waarmee wereldwijd vrijwilligers en leerkrachten aan de slag gaan om jongeren wegwijs te maken in wetenschappen en technologie. Via didactische projecten over onder meer computationeel denken, artificiële intelligentie, robotica en wiskunde bereiken we jaarlijks honderden leerkrachten en vrijwilligers, en ook duizenden leerlingen over de hele wereld. In al onze projecten hebben we bijzondere aandacht voor kansengroepen en meisjes. Bovendien is al ons materiaal open source zodat je het kunt aanpassen naargelang de noden in jouw klas of project.
(NL) Ik ben leraar programmeren, artificiële intelligentie en Design Thinking in Gent. Mij vind je doorgaans voor de klas als leerkracht op het Sint-Lievenscollege, als externe vakbegeleider binnen de Educatieve Master Klassieke Talen aan de UGent of als lesgever bij het Centrum Nascholing Onderwijs van de Universiteit Antwerpen. Ben je als leerling gefascineerd door programmeren of als leerkracht op zoek naar digitaal lesmateriaal rond artificiële intelligentie, computationeel denken of virtual reality? Dan ben je hier aan het juiste adres!

(FR) Class’Code IAI est un MOOC citoyen accessible à toutes et à tous de 7 à 107 ans pour se questionner, expérimenter et comprendre ce qu’est l’Intelligence Artificielle… avec intelligence !
La formation s’adresse à toutes et tous et plus spécifiquement :
- les professionnels de l’éducation (enseignants, éducateurs, animateurs)
- jeunes de 7 à 17 ans via les ressources qui y sont présentées
- les citoyen.nes qui veulent comprendre de quoi on parle pour contribuer au débat
(EN) Unlocking the Power of AI is a new EU Code Week MOOC that aims to provide teachers with a basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its potentials and challenges in education. Through the four modules of the MOOC, we will examine AI resources, tools and technologies that can be safely implemented in your daily teaching practice to enhance teaching and learning. We will explore the use of educational data and how it interacts with teaching and learning. We will reflect on ethical implications of AI’s use in the classroom. At the end of the course, the participants will prepare their own AI-related learning activity, ready to be put into practice. This MOOC will be organized around the concept of blended learning with onsite study-groups working alongside the online course.
